My Official Announcement

I've been waiting a week to post this announcement but wait no more... I am joining the Stamp Fever team as their newest design team member. I will also be teaching a card class once a month. You can see the whole announcement here. I'm very excited about this and cant wait for my first class which is on August 27th. I look forward to posting my class cards here so you can see what I've come up with. I'm very blessed to have this opportunity and I want to thank the ladies at Stamp Fever for asking me to join their wonderful team.
A funny story about how I found Stamp Fever to go with my announcement. I was looking through a Paper Crafts magazine one day and saw an adorable stamp set by Lawn Fawn. I had not heard of them before and decided to go to their website. Although their shipping is low ($3.00) I am an instant gratification kind of girl and decided to see if there were any stores near me that carried them. Stamp Fever was just a 20 minute drive so that saturday morning I told the kids we were going on a road trip. When we got to the store, there was a stamp class in progress. Jordan my daughter and little crafter, walked over to see what they were doing. Ivy, the teacher, was teaching a card class using Lawn Fawn stamps and let Jordan stamp on a few scraps of paper and to take home the images. I soon became a follower of the Stamp Fever blog and saw a class picture with my little crafter as part of the picture. Since that day, my daughter and I have been attending that same class taught by the lovely Ivy for the last 3 months. And in the last 3 months I've spent lots of saturdays aka paydays :-) at Stamp Fever getting to know the ladies there and they got to see more of my work as well. You never know what a simple shopping trip to a stamp store can turn into. So next time you significate other raises an eyebrow when you leave to go shopping, just tell them there may be an exciting opportunity in your future!!

Funny get well card for my brother in law

My brother in law just got a long awaited kidney transplant on Sunday. He waited 10 years and our prayers were finally answered. He's a very funny lighthearted guy so my get well card needed to be the same. I used Lawn Fawn, critters in the burbs and partly cloudy. I used cotton for the clouds, flock for the tree and parts of the dog and glossy accents for the sun. I hope he likes it!

Beach Day

Here is a cute card I made using the new Beach Day set by Penny Black. Isn't she the cutest? I colored her with Copics and covered the sun with stickles and glossy accents. I also covered her whole floatie with glossy accents to give it that rubber look.

Surfs up

Doesn't this image make you want to go surfing? This was made with the Penny Black set Fun in the Sun. She's just too cute for words!

Fun in the Sun

A made this using an adorable stamp set by Penny Black called Fun in the Sun. This set is a must have!! Too cute!

Mimi in Paris

Here is a cute card made using Penny Black's Mimi in Paris. I wanted to make the doggie fuzzy so I used white flock and I used purple twine for the leash and handbag handle.

Sending Smiles

Here is another card using Hero Arts Sending Smiles set. Isn't she a cutie? She reminds me of my daughter who is 6 1/2 and loves to play in the garden.

Cute as a Button

I purchased this cute stamp set by Hero Arts called Sending Smiles. I coupled it will Lawn Fawn's Blissful Botanicals, Say Cheese and Sew Lovely. I used DCWV Mango Frost paper. I love how bright and cheerful it turned out.

Have Fun & Ready for Summer

I got into the summer mood one night and decided to make a few summer related cards using Lawn Fawn's Swimsuit Season & Harolds ABCs. I had also just gotten my mini sewing machine and "needed" an excuse to play with it. Don't they make you want to grab a cold drink, put your swimsuit on and go outside? I live in California so it's been in the high 80's lately and beautiful.

Happy Birthday

Here is a Happy Birthday Card I made using Lawn Fawn's Critters in the Forrest, Bake me a Cake, Hats Off to you and Admit One. My goal was to keep it very natural looking but still fun!

Thank you card

I made this thank you card using Lawn Fawn's Judy Blooms, Bannerific and Sophie's Sentiments.
