Laker Trifold Birthday Card

Here is another fun card. I haven't done a tri-fold in a while and this is a blast to make. I used Cricut Sports Mania for the jersey, Basketball and Hoop. The lettering on the jersey and the number were made with Cricut Lite Varsity Letter cartridge. The name is a whole 1/4 high (I had to cut that one a few times :) The background paper I made using a jpeg of the logo and just repeated it throughout the sheet. Here is the card closed.

Here is a view of the card open and standing. As you can see, there are different folds which allow it to stand.
Here is a close up of the Jersey. Again cut with Sports Mania Cricut Cartridge at 3 in. height. The name is at 1/4 in height x 1 in width. The numbers are at 1 in height.
Here is a close up of the Championship banner. I made this using photoshop. I used a clip art of the basketball, deleted the inside leaving the outline and placed it behind the name. I used the eraser tool to delete the basketball from behind the name and made it frame it on top and bottom. Instead of the National Basketball association, I changed it to Birthday and added the word honors. I used a couple rivets and twine to "Hang" the banner. I also pop dotted it.
Here is the basketball and hoop. This was again cut with Sports Mania at 2.5 in wide I layered it with a purple shadow to stand off from the white of the background. The ball is cut at 1 in. I used the "Basketball" textured paper you can find at Michaels and JoAnns.
Here is a close up of the ball and hoop. As you can tell, the ball is slightly higher because I used and "Action Wobble". If you flick the ball, it will wobble.
Here you can see what the card looks like completely open and flat. There are 4 small pics of Laker players to tie the card theme together. I also added the basketball paper to the long strips and placed a candle border (EK Success) along them for more of a Birthday look. I used stickles in orange for the flames.

I hope you like it. It was a blast to make!

Wedding Card

Here is another stand card I created for a client. "Thanks Moses" He is giving it to his brother who is getting married. We talked about the concept and this is what I came up with. It's funny but still pretty. The couple is getting married in a strawberry field which is why I used the strawberry paper. The other colors are also their wedding colors. For the couple, I've cut them from the wedding cricut cart on 4 different color pieces of paper and cut the layers I wanted since this cut does not have a layers feature. The key and lock are charms that I cut the charm part off of. The ball is a 3/4 in circle punch and painted with clear nail polish to give it a glossy but not shinny finish. I also ran the round edge of a stylist around the edge to make it dimentional then poped it up with a pop dot. The inside poem I created with the card front in mind. Hope you like it.

Sympathy Card

I was requested to make a sympathy card. When you hear of someones passing, the first thing you want to do is send flowers. That was my inspiration for this card. I wanted to keep it elegant and I used muted colors as it was for an older lady and I thought she'd like it more. I used the Mother’s Day Bouquet Seasonal Cartridge for the flowers.

Thank you card

This is a pretty simple fast card I made as a thank you to the client that ordered the Little Squirts baby shower invites. No cricut cuts here but you gotta love all the PINK!!

Happy Chinese New Year Card!

Here is another stand card I made. I was requested by my wonderful Co-worker Susan to make this after she got her standing X-mas card I made her :-) Her daughter is going to give this to her God Mom for Chinese New Year. We talked about an idea, I sketched it out and this was the final product. I've added a bunch of pics to show the different elements close up. Hope you like it. The card measures 6x12" The Pagoda, Tree and Bridge were all cut from the Pagoda Cricut Cartridge. Since it's the year of the "Rabbit", you will find two rabbits cut from the 2010 Easter Seasonal cartridge.

This first Picture is the card closed.

This is the card opened and standing. We talked about continuing the rocks to the inside to hold the card open. I also used Origami paper as the background paper.

Here is a side view. It's a bit dark but it's the only way you can see the clouds clearly. I used zip 2 way glue and white flocking to make them.

Here is a close up of the little girl "Her Daughter" It is a Mo Manning digital stamp which I colored with copic markers.

Here is a side view so you can see how the bridge pops out. I glued one side then let it pop forward and glued the other side. I'm not sure if you can tell but it has a glossy but not shinny finish on it. I did that by painting it with clear nail polish. The water or stream is made from cutting and crinkling a piece of blue cellophane wrapping paper. It too is only glued on the ends to hold it in place .

Here is a close up of the tree and the rabbits. Both are flocked to give them a fuzzy texture. The grass is also flock with a zig 2 way glue pen.

My Callling Cards from the CHA Circle Meet Up

I wanted to go with a theme that matched my Blog "Stuck on Glue" and wanted to make it Valentines-y lol I love the way they came out!! The Glue is cut from Simply Charmed at 2"

Two Little Squirts!

Wow you would think my specialty was baby shower cards!! They are just so fun to make. Here is another baby shower card I made for my co-worker who expecting twin boys!! This set of 50 was requested by her Mother in Law and I had a blast making them. I hope everyone that got one enjoyed them too! The idea was her Mother in Laws and I just ran with it and made it come to life. The whales are cut from the Create a Critter cricut cartridge at 2 in. I used my gypsy to reverse the image so I could have them facing each other. The water was made using an old making memories wavy paper trimmer using light and dark blue paper. The saying I printed on using my inkjet printer and the font is Harrington. Hope you like them!

Thank you Diane for your business!
